In this lively family event we will listen to the music in the company of Pippi Longstocking. We guess you are already familiar with the spunky young girl, characteristically wearing a pair of stockings in different colours on her thin legs, whose red-haired head is always full of the most unconventional ideas and fancies. This popular character was thought up by the most famous Swedish author of books for children, Astrid Lindgren. Many of you must have read her books as children, or even visited her museum in Stockholm.
So what is this concert all about? It is about Pippi’s voyage on a ship from Stockholm to Klaipėda; about her meeting new friends and experiencing funny adventures. She likes the music played by the Klaipėda Brass Quintet and wonders if she could appear in concert herself…
The script for this semi-staged concert was written by theatre director Nerijus Gedminas, with actress Rugilė Latvėnaitė appearing as Pippi.
