The XII Festival of Young Artists “The Sounding Wave”
The festival “The Sounding Wave” offers the stage for most talented young children and youth.
5th March
As tradition the festival “Sounding Wave” will start with a “Young musicians’ parade” where soloists and ensembles from Klaipeda E Balsys Art gymnasium, J. Kačinskas and J. Karosas music schools will perform.
6th March
The older pupils of the Klaipeda E Balsys Art gymnasium and students of the S. Šimkus conservatoire will perform together with a pianist Kasparas Uinskas. Such an event is new in a festival.
K. Uinskas currently gives many performances in Lithuania and abroad, he also is PHD art student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. This gifted musician concerns about professional achievments of young people and developing of their musical taste. For this purpose he will give concerts in various schools of Klaipeda “How to understand classical values”. This educational project is new among the concerts of the festival educating future listeners.
7th March
Harp and flute pupils from Vilnius B.Dvarionas Music School will perform. Soloist and various ensembles up eight musicians will play. Teachers of these young musicians are Galina Jasaitienė and Paulius Bernardas Koncė.
11th March
The festival will end with the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra (conductor Tomas Ambrozaitis) and young talented soloists on a stage. Together with the orchestra will perform Akvilė Ruzgytė (piano), currently studying at the J.Sibelius Music Academy in Finland, three students of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre - Lauryna Bendžiūnaitė (soprano), Vitalija Benetytė (violin), Kristina Morozova (violin) and Igor Bakan (bass-bariton), student at the Art faculty of the Klaipeda University.
