The music to be performed at this concert will envelop us in blissful tranquillity and timelessness. Works by Latvian Pēteris Vasks and Briton Gavin Bryars will bathe our ears in varying musical states and shimmering quiescence. While new pieces by Vidmantas Bartulis, Zita Bružaitė and Giedrius Puskunigis will speak to us with that bred-in-the-bone Lithuanian sound comparable to the soughing of pine forests at the Baltic Sea.
