The October 13th concert titled “A Woman’s Love and Life” will touch deep emotional cords in the performances of Schumann’s song cycle “Frauenliebe und -leben” set to the poems by Adelbert von Chamisso, describing the course of a woman's love for her man from their first meeting to his death and after, and his Piano Quintet, as well as cantata Flowers’ Talk by Lithuanian composer Julius Juzeliūnas. Written after the poems by Jonas Mekas, this cantata depicts “love as the wind and love as water...” .This concert is organised in association with the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society.
