Modestas Pitrėnas will conduct the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra in the programme “Gems of Romanticism” (October 21st), featuring young pianist Kasparas Uinskas in the performance of Schumann’s Piano Concerto. In one of his interviews, Pitrėnas has remarked that “the charm of music can lie in a tiny moment or creative molecule – in that incalculable and infinite here and now, which opens before our eyes. It is precisely at those moments that the music starts sending shivers down the spines and souls of musicians and listeners alike at the concert halls. It is the emotional charge of what’s going on in music and on stage that reaches the deepest and most delicate cords of the human soul. Because music in not only the notes, but also the emotion put in sounds…”.
