Talented and determined – that’s what the young Lithuanian performers are like, as they seek professional excellence and are eager to share their art with the audiences.
In the first half of this concert we will get once more convinced of the powerful interaction between music and imagination. Pianist Lina Žutautaitė will use her instrument to tell musical stories imbued with distinctive national character. In 2019, she became laureate of the Klaipėda Piano Masters summer academy. Before that she has completed her studies at the Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatory and entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
After the break we will return to see the performance of the META Piano Trio, consisting of violinist Marija Pranskutė, cellist Deividas Dumčius and pianist Julija Bagdonavičiūtė. The trio formed but a couple of years ago; yet its individual members already have solid experience as soloists and chamber musicians. In 2019, the META represented Lithuania at the HARMOS Festival in Portugal and took part in the International Summer Academy (ISA) in Vienna, Austria, where the trio won the audience prize. In 2020, the trio made its debut at the TangoBrücke concert and culture hall in Einbeck, Germany. It will appear for the first time in Klaipėda, with the performance of works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Bronius Kutavičius.
