The fourth programme in the series “Bridges of Brass” presented by the Klaipėda Brass Quintet builds a musical bridge across the Baltic Sea from Klaipėda to Stockholm. The Sweden’s capital city is a home of trumpet player Tom Poulson, a prize-winner of prestigious international competitions and member of the Stockholm Chamber Brass. The latter brass quintet has already visited Lithuania and enthralled the audiences and participants of the Trakai Fanfare Week a couple of years ago.

A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Poulson currently pursues an active concert career as a soloist with major European symphony and chamber orchestras, and chamber musician. Together with the members of the Stockholm Chamber Brass, he has given master classes at the Summer Academy for Chamber Music for five years in a row. Poulson will arrive in Klaipėda to give week-long master classes for the members of the Klaipėda Brass Quintet, which will culminate in their joint concert appearance. This virtuoso programme will include the Copper Etching by Klaipėda-based composer Remigijus Šileika who is celebrating his 70th birthday this year.
