Unexpected, witty, and especially relevant – this is a unique educational program that, alongside traditional chamber music, incorporates modern technology.

This musical project opens up new possibilities for contemporary music and encourages young people to actively participate in music creation.

Swedish composer Anders Lind, known for his masterful use of electronics and interactive tools in music, together with the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, will present the world premiere of a new piece titled “Episodes for Strings and Oscillators”, which will also feature a mobile phone orchestra. This ensemble consists of a specially selected group of 40 young people (ages 16–18) who will be trained in advance to use their smartphones as musical instruments.

This original composition explores the dialogue between acoustic string instruments and analog synthesizers, whose sounds are processed live and integrated into the orchestral texture. The program will also feature the electronic composition “One Zero One”, inspired by the legendary Roland SH-101 synthesizer.

Moreover, the concert has been selected for recording by the prestigious European Gramophone label – a remarkable recognition of the project, highlighting its artistic and technological significance within the context of contemporary European music.

The concert is a collaboration with the Swedish concert house Norrlandsoperan – supported by the Swedish Artscouncil.
