The Klaipeda Brass Quintet is a musical symbol of the port city, having been active for almost forty years! Established in 1986, it was the first ensemble of its kind in Klaipeda. Despite reaching forty, which is still considered youthful these days, the Klaipeda Brass Quintet maintains its energy and youthful spirit: it presents modern programs that incorporate vocals, guitar, percussion instruments, and electronic music, and this time, they have invited the young trumpeter Justas Drakšas to join them.

The ensemble enjoys performing in both philharmonic halls and unconventional spaces, such as the foyer of the Klaipeda Concert Hall. At each performance, the musicians are adept at creating a great atmosphere, whether performing in Lithuania, Klaipeda, other cities, or on tours in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, and Poland. Their broad approach to repertoire is reflected in this program, which, alongside "classics of the classics" – works by Mozart and Handel for brass – features music by 20th-century composers, including works by American composer Wilke Renwick and Klaipeda composer Jonas Domarkas.
