Komitas (Ancient Armenian Hymns) for Violin and Orchestra, A. Vivaldi – The Four Seasons
Chouchane Siranossian is one of the most fascinating baroque violinists of today, also highly skilled in the classical violin repertoire. Nevertheless, baroque music remains the primary focus of her artistic expression, allowing her to reveal a deep understanding of this era while seeking unconventional combinations.
This evening’s program exemplifies her innovative approach, blending the well-known The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi with the music of Komitas, a 20th-century Armenian classical composer whose work is rooted in the ancient traditions of Armenian music.
