In the latest concert programme “NICO: NEO-CLASSICAL” by the internationally recognized ensemble, audiences will experience hypnotic post-minimalist musical textures and memorable cinematic soundscapes. The programme features minimalist and post-minimalist music from the 20th and 21st centuries, performed by strings and piano. The introspective yet expressive nature of the music opens new dimensions of imagination for the listener. The composers featured in this programme include some of today’s most popular names, such as Philipp Glass, Ludovico Einaudi, and Max Richter. Notable works include Max Richter’s dreamy “On the Nature of Daylight,” Ludovico Einaudi’s expressive “Nightbook,” and music by the ensemble’s founder and artistic director, Gediminas Gelgotas.
