Where does imagination live? Why does it sometimes seem to fall asleep? And what can awaken it? The Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra and the Klaipėda Puppet Theatre invite families on an educational musical journey, where sounds, words, and images come together in search of the answer to one question — what is imagination?
On stage, audiences will meet Monika, who is meant to tell a story about imagination but encounters an unexpected problem — her own imagination has fallen asleep! Equipped with knowledge and advice, she sets out to discover what awakens imagination, what suppresses it, and what powers it gives to people. Music comes to her aid. The sounds of the orchestra become the key to a world where thoughts begin to transform, grow, and turn into new stories.
The music of composer Anatolijus Šenderovas and the imagery inspired by the poetry of Sigitas Geda merge with the language of puppet theatre. Here, ordinary objects become living characters, threads transform into strands of thought, and light and movement create an ever-changing space of imagination.
About Imagination is a story about the creative power within each of us — the ability to dream, create, and see the world differently. It is a reminder that imagination belongs to everyone; we only need to discover what awakens it.
