At Klaipėda Concert Hall, the chamber music program is presented by Trio Claviola, an ensemble dedicated since its formation to nurturing the unique blend of three distinct instruments—viola (strings), clarinet (winds), and piano (keyboards).
In this project, violist Jurgis Juozapaitis, clarinetist Vytautas Giedraitis, and pianist Ugnė Antanavičiūtė skillfully combine classical music traditions with contemporary ideas. The concert opens with a chamber trio by Dutch composer Leo Smit, revealing reflections of interwar European modernism.
This modernist soundscape is enriched by two compositions specially written for Trio Claviola by Lithuanian composers Ugnė Giedraitytė and Jurgis Juozapaitis. The concert culminates with the vibrant trio by French master Jean Françaix, captivating audiences with its striking contrasts, energy, and playful virtuosity.
