Buenos Aires, New York, Paris and Rome; Argentine tango, classical music and jazz – living between these different cities and very distinct musical styles shaped the unique, cosmopolitan musical language of Piazzolla which has enthralled audiences the world over for more than half a century. In a concert, entitled “Piazzolla Alone,” violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė, cellist Gleb Pyšniak and accordionist Tadas Motiečius invite to join them on their musical journey across different continents, cultures and genres, accompanied by Piazzolla’s music alone.
Dalia Dėdinskaitė is one of Lithuania’s brightest young violin stars. She travels with concerts to various countries around Europe, as well as to the United States and New Zealand, appearing with various orchestras and chamber ensembles. Gleb Pyšniak is frequently welcomed at the world’s greatest concert venues and appears as a soloist with major orchestras. Having joined the Čiurlionis Quartet in 2018, he is increasingly more involved in chamber music projects with the quartet, as well as with other ensembles. After having completed their studies in Vienna, Dalia and Gleb returned to Lithuania and accepted appointments at the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra. A few years later they moved to Vilnius.
Tadas Motiečius pursues an active career as a soloist and collaborative musician in Lithuania and elsewhere, frequently collaborating with multi-genre artists in diverse projects. The music he performs ranges from the classics to modern compositions for accordion and smooth jazz.
