One of the distinctive feature of the Klaipėda Carillon Festival are the programmes, in which the carillon is played together with other instruments or ensembles. New compositions are commissioned in cooperation with the Lithuanian Composers’ Union and written especially for these programmes, this way adding new works to the Lithuanian carillon repertoire each year. In this concert, we will hear the world-renowned Belgian carillonneur Koen Van Assche, who is returning to Klaipėda for the second time. He will play solo, a duet with Claire Janezic and together with the Klaipėda Choir Aukuras. The programme will be intriguing with several premieres by Lithuanian and foreign composers.
