The Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra (KCO) has prepared a program for their international tour in Italy, where the classical genre is represented by J. S. Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto No. 3,” which is juxtaposed with contemporary works. The orchestra will perform two world premieres: “Dream Castles” for harpsichord and strings by one of the most prolific Lithuanian composers, Arvydas Malcys, and a piece by a young Italian composer. Alongside these new works, the orchestra will play Raminta Šerkšnytė’s piece “De profundis,” composed as her graduation work in 1998 and popularized worldwide by the renowned ensemble “Kremerata Baltica.” Additionally, the orchestra will perform “Crossroads Rituals” for cello and strings by Klaipėda composer Nijolė Sinkevičiūtė, with the solo part performed by KCO’s artistic director and one of Lithuania’s most famous cellists, Mindaugas Bačkus.
The ticket price includes a 1.40 EUR service fee from the Kakava.lt system. This fee is not subject to any discounts.
