The opening program of the „Permainų muzika“ festival
Piano Music Evening “Lithuania–Estonia” is a musical journey that unites the sonic worlds of two Baltic nations—where music becomes a dialogue between cultures, generations, and aesthetic visions.
Renowned pianists Rokas Valuntonis from Lithuania and Johan Randvere from Estonia will present some of the most distinguished piano works by composers from their respective countries. The program offers a colorful musical panorama, ranging from delicate lyricism to modern expression: from the gentle Paper Flowers by Alisson Kruusmaa and stylized miniatures by Tõnu Kõrvits, to the dynamic Toccata by Jaan Rääts and the expressive sonata by Erkki-Sven Tüür. Alongside classics of Lithuanian music, such as the works of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, the program will also feature a contemporary take in the form of a piano suite by Swiss composer Rudolf Schiebert.
The program is presented in collaboration with the public institution "Tytuvėnai Festival."
The program is part of the project "World Piano Stars Greet Čiurlionis."
