For the opening of Klaipėda Concert Hall's 21st season, one of the main collectives on this stage, the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, is presenting a celebratory program featuring perhaps the most renowned Lithuanian tenor of our time, Edgaras Montvidas. Unforgettable roles such as Alfredo ("La Traviata"), Duke ("Rigoletto"), Don José ("Carmen"), and Rudolpho ("La Bohème") – in total, the soloist has performed over 40 roles in prestigious opera houses worldwide, including the English National Opera, London's Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), and the opera houses in Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, Geneva, as well as on major Lithuanian stages such as the National Opera and Ballet Theatre and Vilnius City Opera.

Montvidas also maintains a strong concert repertoire, as the audience this evening will experience firsthand. He has performed in prestigious European venues such as Vienna's Musikverein, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, and Berlin Philharmonie, among others. Since 2020, Montvidas has been the artistic director of the Pažaislis Music Festival, and in 2023, he was awarded the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize. The festive concert program will feature subtle and passionate songs and arias by 19th and 20th-century British, Spanish, and French composers, exploring essential human themes – love, life, the beauty of nature, and inner experiences.
