At the Klaipėda Concert Hall’s Season Closing Concert, the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra will be joined by the world-renowned baroque flute virtuoso Maurice Steger. Praised for his dazzling virtuosity and profound understanding of Baroque music, Steger is often referred to as the “Paganini of today,” a “sorcerer,” “one of the finest recorder players of early music worldwide,” and a “captivating, inspiring conductor.”
The program features masterpieces by prominent Baroque composers who created their works in Venice. These pieces will resonate in Klaipėda with the same authenticity and finesse as they do in Europe’s most celebrated concert halls, honoring the rich traditions of Baroque music performance.
In a dual role, Maurice Steger will not only perform on the recorder but also conduct the orchestra, offering an immersive experience that seamlessly blends his mastery of the instrument with his compelling leadership from the podium.
This promises to be an unforgettable evening, celebrating the artistry of Baroque music and bringing the concert season to a triumphant close.
