Arcis Saxophon Quartett

The saxophone quartet Arcis, founded in Munich, belongs to a new generation of chamber ensembles that combines the tradition of the classical concert with innovative approaches to performance. In Frank Zappa’s works, music meets rock, jazz, and experimental ideas, while Ástor Piazzolla’s tango nuevo* tradition brought the energy and melancholy of Buenos Aires tango into the concert hall.
