A Poet’s Love

Alexander Paley, a piano virtuoso and an initiator behind this programme, who currently spends a lot of time in Lithuania, says: “The concert will feature vocal works on the theme of love by Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann. Beethoven's cycle An die ferne Geliebte (To a Distant Beloved) is one of his most mystical works. Schumann's cycle Dichterliebe (The Poet's Love) is one of his most popular works. I feel great pleasure in performing these works together with Romanas Kudriašovas, an internationally renowned baritone from Klaipėda. He has the best qualities of a soloist and a high standard of performance.”
