The concert by the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, uniting Lithuania, Ukraine, and Estonia, will offer audiences a chance to hear both classical masterpieces and thrilling 20th-century compositions, performed by the renowned Estonian conductor Erki Pehk and the young Ukrainian violin virtuoso Dmytro Udovychenko. Born in Kharkiv, 25-year-old Udovychenko is a winner and laureate of eight international competitions, including the V International Jascha Heifetz Competition in Vilnius, where he received the second prize and a special EMCY – European Union of Music Competitions for Youth – award.

Conductor Erki Pehk is celebrated not only as a symphonic and opera conductor but also for his contributions to culture, having been honored with a state award from Estonia. For many years, he has led the International Pärnu Opera Festival "PromFest," has staged several productions at the Estonian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and since 2000, he has been the leader of the "XXI Century Orchestra" in Tallinn, which performs both contemporary and classical repertoire.

The evening’s program will also feature a blend of classical and contemporary music. In addition to the beautiful "Adagietto" by Gustav Mahler and the music by Felix Mendelssohn for Shakespeare's play "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," the audience will enjoy works by the renowned Ukrainian composer Georgiy Morozov and the authoritative German composer Karl Amadeus Hartmann. Notably, the "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" for string orchestra was also arranged by the Ukrainian musician Alexander Shchetinsky.
