Third Coast Percussion Quartet is coming from Chicago for their only concert in Lithuania. The Grammy Award winners are not only professionals of the highest calibre, but also music lovers who are desperately in love with the music they play. The highlight of their programme will be Aguas da Amazonia (Waters of the Amazon), a series of works for ballet by the guru of American minimalism, Philip Glass. The second half of the concert will feature works by other minimalists. It will include a piece by Glass’s peer Steve Reich, which will also immerse you in a trance-like state.
This engagement is supported in part by Mid Atlantic Arts through USArtists International, a program in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Trust for Mutual Understanding.
