The Contemporary Music Festival “Permainų muzika” invites you once again to embrace change and new experiences! Now in its 20th year, the festival presents the finest examples of 20th and 21st-century music that have influenced changes in music history, as well as the most modern forms of expression, and introduces interactions between various art forms. The festival’s program, which covers a broad context of contemporary culture, offers a rich variety of internationally significant projects, encouraging exploration of intriguing contemporary art territories and experiencing the joy of discovery.

What instrument do you think fascinates children the most? Could it be the gentle flute, the melodious violin, or perhaps the piano, which represents the entire orchestra? Paradoxically, or maybe not, many children, upon seeing drums, are the first to try and “talk” to them. Musicians Rugilė Latvėnaitė and Simonas Lunevičius likely understand this secret, and, having invited percussionist Ingrida Spalinskaitė-Kurienė, they offer children a fun event where everyone will have the opportunity to test their skills. After all, you can play not only instruments but also your own body!

According to the program’s creator, Rugilė: “I am very pleased with the audience – each concert ignites the children’s curiosity. I have realized that talking about rhythm and percussion with them is incredibly simple, fun, and engaging!”
