Her Light

The concert will feature Simona Jakubėnaitė’s original compositions from her debut album Her Light, which blends elements of jazz, alternative, minimalist, and contemporary academic music. The program, specially arranged for performance with the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, reveals new timbral and structural possibilities in Simona’s compositions.

Her Light is marked by an introspective musical narrative: personal experiences are transformed into clearly articulated musical imagery, with the vocal line serving as the main dramaturgical guide. Giedrius Nakas’ keyboards and the orchestra’s textures add a new dynamic layer, highlighting the synthesis of contemporary original music and chamber expression.
