Concertgoers are in for a special evening as the charismatic mandolin virtuoso from Israel, Avi Avital, performs at the Klaipeda Concert Hall. A Grammy nominee and winner of the German ECHO Music Prize, Avital's recordings are released by the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label. He regularly performs in some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Berlin Philharmonie, Beijing National Center for the Performing Arts, and the Forbidden City Concert Hall.

For the Lithuanian audience, Avi Avital will present an intriguing program featuring both works originally composed for the mandolin and pieces arranged for this baroque instrument. The renowned virtuoso curates programs not only with classical music but also with world music and jazz performers, so it should come as no surprise if Vivaldi, Bach, or Bartók’s works are presented in a new light even to music experts. The audience will also have the opportunity to experience music by Georgian composer Sulkhano Tsintsadze and Israeli composer Gil Aldema
