In this evening with the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, two different yet mutually complementary musical perspectives meet – the baroque architecture of Johann Sebastian Bach and the clear lyricism of 20th-century British composer Gerald Finzi. Joining the orchestra is pianist Andrius Žlabys, an internationally acclaimed performer who appears in prestigious concert halls around the world with renowned orchestras and conductors.
A. Žlabys is known for intellectually profound, stylistically sensitive interpretations that combine clear formal analysis with expressive musical storytelling. In the evening’s program, Bach will unfold as a master of structure whose music continues to astonish with its modern clarity, while Finzi will appear as an introspective 20th-century creator who subtly weaves together romantic sensitivity and the light of the British choral tradition.
