Operetta Evening

This evening’s program welcomes listeners into the world of classical operetta – elegant, playful, and full of theatrical charm. It features the brightest musical moments by Johann Strauss II, Franz Lehár, and Emmerich Kálmán, revealing the hallmarks of the genre: graceful waltz turns, spirited csárdás rhythms, and subtle dialogues between voice and piano.

On stage are three distinguished musicians: the rich-voiced tenor Andrius Apšega, the charming and radiant soprano Raminta Vaicekauskaitė, and the sensitive piano partner Beata Vingraitė-Andriuškevičienė. They will perform famous arias and duet excerpts from operettas such as The Merry Widow, Countess Mariza, Paganini, Silva, Die Fledermaus, and Mister X.
