Led by its founder Gintaras Rinkevičius, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra has been an integral part of Lithuania's classical music scene for 35 years. The orchestra delights music lovers not only with ambitious symphonic music programs but also with striking opera productions and impressive concert performances.

The evening's program reflects the LVSO's place between these two realms. One of the brightest young soloists, Kamilė Bontė, will perform popular and lesser-known opera and operetta arias, and the program will conclude with the restless Northern romanticism of Jean Sibelius's Symphony No. 1 in E minor.
